This style of bag has been all over my timeline, Pinterest board, I often see someone carrying it when I’m out and about, it’s everywhere. Marc Jacobs really hit gold when he released “The Tote Bag,” which I can only assume this pattern was inspired by. And it’s such a simple bag!
I’d seen so many variations that I loved and thought I would just draft up my own pattern. So, when I saw this pattern, it was an ABSOLUTE must buy! And when SewYouView on IG listed it as a pattern of the month for July, I called my husband to ensure he included it in the next shipment of goodies he was sending.

Overall
It was super easy to sew up. I’d say construction was straight forward. Although, as you can see by the photos, I made a few hacks! There are three different sizes included, with most of the pattern pieces rectangular. So, you could opt to simply measure and proceed with cutting and skip cutting out pattern pieces all together.
Hacks/Manipulations
I'm not going to lie, I didn’t even read the entire pattern instructions past step 4.
I did not have any bias tape. And in all honesty, I didn't think it would look nice with my fabric choice. So sewing the bag together right sides together was the move, for the outside and inside.
I also dropped the lining down two inches and added a zipper pocket.
